The Märklin 46221 Erz Id Wagon Set is a detailed Era III Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) heavy freight consist featuring three four-axle self-discharging ore wagons of type OOtz 44 (Erz Id). This H0 scale set represents the classic iron ore transport wagons used from the early 1950s onwards, designed for efficient bulk unloading in steel industry operations.

Each wagon features a low-sided hopper body with reinforced pressed steel bogies, accurately reproducing the heavy-duty construction required for transporting iron ore. The wagons are finished in a realistic reddish-brown industrial livery and include brakeman’s platforms and end wheel controls, reflecting authentic operational details from the period.
