Details

The Märklin 46465 VTG Chlorine Gas Tank Car Set is a highly detailed Era V Deutsche Bahn AG / VTG private owner freight consist featuring five chlorine gas tank wagons operated by VTG United Tank Farm and Transportation, Hamburg. This H0 scale set represents modernised hazardous goods transport as used on the German rail network from around 2004 onwards.

The wagons are finished in a realistic silver-grey VTG livery with authentic light weathering to reflect real operational conditions. Each tank wagon features a finely detailed underframe with a partially open frame structure, U-shaped side sills with eyelets, and reinforced buffer beams for a highly prototypical appearance.

The models are equipped with separately applied platforms, ladders, and brakeman’s walkways, along with finely reproduced Minden-Dorstfeld bogies typical of modern European tank wagon construction. Each wagon is individually numbered and individually packaged within a master box for collector presentation.

Designed for smooth operation on Märklin H0 layouts, the set includes DC wheel sets (E700580) and is ideal for modern freight formations, especially chemical, refinery, or industrial logistics trains.
