Details

The Märklin 47407 is a highly detailed H0 scale freight wagon set representing modern “Rollende Landstraße” (Rolling Road) operations by RAlpin AG in Switzerland. The set consists of two type Saadkmms low-floor transport wagons designed for combined transport traffic, where complete road vehicles are carried by rail through Alpine transit routes. The wagons are finished in a realistic quartz grey livery reflecting their condition from around 2018 in Era VI operation.

Each wagon features a robust metal body with finely detailed construction for durability and realism. The design includes two hinged and removable buffer beams per wagon, allowing flexible operational use as end or intermediate vehicles within a train consist. The set is supplied with wheel chocks for securing truck models and includes special coupling systems designed for low-floor wagon operation as well as compatibility with standard coupling systems. Both wagons are individually packaged and also supplied within a master carton for safe storage.

With a total length over buffers of approximately 44.6 cm, this set is ideal for realistic intermodal freight operations on modern European layouts. It integrates seamlessly into Märklin H0 AC systems, supporting both analogue and digital operation, and is especially suited for contemporary Alpine freight themes.
