Details

The Märklin 47816 is a highly detailed H0 scale double container transport wagon (Sggrss 80 type) operated by Touax Rail Ltd. This modern intermodal freight wagon represents Era VI operation (around 2009) and is designed for efficient combined transport of standard shipping containers across European rail networks.

The model features a sophisticated 6-axle articulated design with two permanently connected wagon halves mounted on a central bogie, ensuring excellent running stability and smooth curve negotiation. The wagon floor is constructed from finely detailed metal with prototypical open sections and characteristic fish-belly style side sills for maximum realism.
