Details

The Märklin 82524 is a finely detailed Z scale freight wagon set featuring two four-axle chemical tank wagons of type Zans operated by Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR Ost) in Era IV. This modern-era freight set represents Soviet-origin tank wagons that were leased to the VEB Kombinat Deutzen (a former lignite mining and chemical processing company), reflecting real industrial freight operations in East Germany during the late 20th century.

Each wagon is accurately modelled with a detailed cylindrical tank body mounted on prototypical underframes with finely reproduced Y25-style bogies. The wagons include a central dome and maintenance platform, along with realistic piping and structural detailing that reflects their use in bulk liquid transport.
