Model Details
The Magirus MK 130M8 Pritsche/Plane “Neutral” by Lemke Collection is a highly detailed 1:160 scale N gauge truck model representing one of Europe’s most important medium-duty commercial vehicles of the late 20th century. This precision miniature captures the rugged design and practical versatility of the legendary Magirus MK series with an authentic flatbed and tarpaulin body configuration ideal for realistic freight and logistics scenes.
Designed for model railway enthusiasts, diecast collectors, and industrial vehicle fans, the Magirus MK 130M8 combines classic European truck styling with realistic detailing and accurate proportions. The neutral livery version makes this model especially versatile for custom dioramas, freight depots, logistics terminals, and period-correct 1970s–1990s transport layouts.
The original Magirus MK 130M8 formed part of the famous “Vierer-Club” (Club of Four) project introduced in 1975, a major European commercial vehicle collaboration involving Magirus-Deutz, Volvo, DAF, and Saviem/Renault. This innovative joint programme standardised many cab and chassis components to reduce development costs while allowing each manufacturer to maintain its own engines and front-end styling.

Historical Background
The Magirus-Deutz MK 130M8 was introduced in 1975 as part of the groundbreaking “Club of Four” commercial vehicle programme, one of the first major European cooperative truck engineering projects. The partnership between Magirus, Volvo, DAF, and Renault/Saviem aimed to create a common cab platform for medium-duty trucks while reducing production and development costs across manufacturers.
Powered by robust air-cooled Deutz diesel engines, the Magirus MK series became well known for durability, reliability, and ease of maintenance. The trucks were widely used across Europe in freight transport, municipal operations, construction, and regional logistics throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Production later continued under the Iveco brand into the early 1990s.
Today, the Magirus MK remains an important symbol of European commercial vehicle history, making this Lemke MINIS release a must-have addition for collectors of classic trucks, industrial vehicles, and realistic N gauge transport scenes.
