Faller 2026 HO Scale Range Announced

Faller’s 2026 programme is led by two striking centrepieces: the dramatic new Meiderich Steelworks series and a beautifully themed collection inspired by Germany’s iconic Black Forest. The Steelworks range forms a vast, modular industrial complex, from the towering blast furnace and hot blast stoves to the blower hall, gas cleaning plant and water treatment facility, creating an authentic heavy-industry scene that can dominate a layout from the steam era through to the present day. Complementing this is a richly atmospheric Black Forest collection, featuring a traditional house, farmstead, clockmaker’s home and the famous giant cuckoo clock, all supplied with figures and designed to anchor charming rural villages and scenic branch lines.

Supporting these headline ranges is a broad spread of new buildings, accessories and scenic details, including stations, town architecture, fairground attractions, harbour scenes and transport models, alongside an expanded choice of figures and Car System vehicles. Modellers are also treated to new scenery materials, with new grasses, foliage, trees, water effects and modelling plates, plus the return of Faller’s popular “Model of the Month” kits. Together, the 2026 range offers both spectacular focal points and the fine detail needed to bring every corner of a layout to life.

Faller Anniversary Models: The Steelworks

For their 2026 anniversary model, Faller are bringing industrial history to life! Taking inspiration from the Meiderich steelworks in Duisburg, founded by August Thyssen at the beginning of the 20th century. Pig iron was produced there for decades - until the last of five blast furnaces went out in 1985. The model recreates the plant‘s legendary blast furnace and brings the coal and steel industry into the model world. A technically and historically fascinating theme that deliberately goes far beyond their regular new products to mark their 80th anniversary. The model includes the blast furnace with revolving frame, the inclined lift with winch house, a dust collector, the Y-pipe with associated pipes, a gas flare, the casting hall with gantry crane and a small day bunker.
