Heller 1:24th Scale Models Coming Soon

Coming soon from Heller are two spectacular 1:24th scale kits, first is a 3t trailer, ideal for rural or agricultural scenes. Second is a Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo. Both of these kits are available as individual kits and as starter sets with paint and suitable glue.

3t Trailer

The open standard trailer E 3, 3 tons, was introduced around 1940 to replace the wide variety of previously commercially available trailers in this payload class with a single model. This trailer had a simple design and was produced by various companies. It continued to be used after the war in Germany and many European countries.

The trailer, with turntable steering, could be used for all agricultural transport and for transporting all types of building materials, for example. The trailer, with a payload of 3 tons, was often found behind tractors or trucks.

Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo

In 1979, in occasion of World Championship, was for first time presented the Beta Montecarlo, a car studied by Lancia Head Quarters (and particularly by Daniele Audetto) in order to try to conquer the Championship, for many years dominated by the Porsche 935. Engine was brought to 1425 cc to be able to enter the Beta on the class “up to 2 litre” (World Championship is in fact divided into two classes and winner is the Team having got best score, independently from category).

At the end of 1979 season the Lancia was first in the class “up to 2 litre“.
