The latest May releases from Kato USA are headlined by a superb selection of classic Amtrak passenger stock and modern Union Pacific diesel power in N Scale. Leading the announcements is the return of the ever-popular F40PH and Superliner Phase III train sets, allowing modellers to recreate one of the most iconic eras of American passenger railroading. The range includes complete train packs, additional six-car Superliner coach sets and individual F40PH locomotives, all available in standard DC, DCC-Fitted and DCC-Sound formats.
Alongside the Amtrak releases, Kato USA have also unveiled two striking Union Pacific SD70M locomotives featuring special commemorative liveries. No. 1616 “Abraham Lincoln” and No. 1979 “We Are One” both celebrate Union Pacific’s heritage and community-themed locomotive programme, with each model offered in DC, DCC-Fitted and DCC-Sound variations. Together, these latest releases provide a strong mix of classic passenger operation and modern freight power for North American N Scale enthusiasts.
