Lionheart Trains Upcoming Releases: July - August 2025

 

Expected in July are the new range of 55xx locomotives from Lion Heart Trains. 

 

The GWR 55xx Class were 2-6-2T steam tank locomotives designed by Charles Collett for the Great Western Railway (GWR). Introduced in 1929, 100 were built between 1929 and 1949. A development of the earlier 4500 Class, they featured larger side tanks for increased water capacity, making them ideal for branch line work, particularly in hilly areas.
