We’re thrilled to announce the next generation Gaugemaster website, designed to give you a new and improved shopping experience. Whether you’re into Model Railways, Scalextric, Model Kits, Modelling Materials or Collectables, our new site is packed with improvements to make shopping with us even better.
Our previous website, launched in 2018, was the result of a significant overhaul to bring you a more interactive shopping experience. We've now taken it a step further. We've listened to all your feedback over the lifetime of our previous site and our dedicated team has worked hard to include the features you requested the most and some extras we know will love.
New Ways to Pay
We've added the single most requested feature to our website; the ability to pay with PayPal. This popular payment method (with the ability to pay in installments) is now available for all in-stock orders and we hope is a welcome addition to our new site.
We didn’t stop there. We have also added the ability to pay with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Alongside PayPal, these additions give you even more options to make the checkout process easier and more tailored to you. These options will automatically appear when available as payment methods for your order, giving you more flexibility and security throughout the checkout process.
Faster and Easier Checkout
Paying for your favourite hobby products is now simpler than ever. We have reworked our checkout process to make it faster and easier. We have added an address book feature that allows you to store multiple delivery and billing addresses so you can quickly select where you want each order to be sent. Ideal for sneaking that latest locomotive into the house by getting it delivered to work!
Brand New Stock Search
We have improved our search feature to make it more personal to you. We have partnered with Adobe Commerce to bring you a search tool that makes finding products quicker and more accurate than ever before. Not only that, but when logged into your account, our intuitive search will learn what products interest you and find the product most relevant to your search and requirements. After all, if you are an N Scale modeller, why would you want to be shown OO Scale coaches as a first result? Our search prioritises the items that are more relevant to you and the more you search, the better the results will become.
Enhanced News Stories
When building this new site, we wanted to enhance and improve all aspects, including our news archive. We have added functionality and included categorisations and related post tags to give you news that is relevant to you at your fingertips.
Stronger Security and Safety
When we consider upgrading, we aren’t just talking about features you can see and use. Your online security is our number one priority when shopping with us, and we have been working on the back-end systems to ensure your continued security and safety when browsing our site. We have upgraded all aspects to feature the very latest security features and protocols, ensuring your journey through our website, data, and transactions are safer than ever before.
What's Next?
We are excited to be able to share our new site with you, but we are not standing still either. Now that our site is live, we will focus on making our content more engaging and informative.
The first stage is relaunching our marketing communications with a fresh new look. If you haven't already signed up, do so to ensure you are the first to know about these exciting changes, including exclusive subscriber content, offers and most importantly: discounts!
We will also be revisiting our Knowledge Base. This area has already been rejuvenated with a new search feature, but we want to do more. Over the coming months, we will be reworking an extensive range of our articles to expand them and include new techniques, insights, information and, of course, feature additional and latest products.
