Peco Announce New N Scale Semi-Detatched House Kits

Peco are delighted to introduce a new range of detailed laser-cut wood kits, which capture the charm of a typical 1960s-style semi-detached block, complete with front and rear elevations and the option to assemble a fully enclosed building. Each pair of houses can be joined with others to form a longer terrace, offering flexibility for varied layouts. A front porch is included as an optional feature, and there’s scope for further interior decoration to add personal touches. For added realism, additional detailing products from the Ratio range are available, such as Guttering and Downpipes and Chimneys, allowing you to enhance your model scene with authentic 1960s character and precision.

During the 1960s, British semi-detached houses reflected a period of post-war recovery and growing suburban prosperity. As Britain rebuilt from wartime damage and expanded its suburbs, demand for affordable family homes surged. Semi-detached houses became the ideal solution, cost-effective, spacious, and suited to modern lifestyles. Built mainly from brick or concrete with simple geometric designs, they often featured large windows, central heating, and private gardens.
