Peco Narrow Gauge New Items: November 2025

2026 marks a very special year for PECO.

Founded in 1946 by Sydney Pritchard, PECO has grown from strength to strength over the past eight decades and remains a proudly independent, family-owned business, manufacturing quality products for the hobby from its base in Beer, Devon.

Peco have sent over the latest news for their narrow gauge enthusiasts including two stunning 009 starter sets, a selection of wagons and even something for the O-16.5 modellers.

Peco 009 New Items

Starter Sets

Each set is presented in a premium presentation box with a magnetically sealed lid and a vibrant, commemorative sleeve, and includes a numbered and signed certificate. Limited to just 100 pieces, these beautifully packaged sets make wonderful gifts or collectable keepsakes for any model railway enthusiast.

Wagons

Peco are delighted to announce the arrival of two brand-new sets of Ffestiniog Railway Welsh Slate wagons in OO-9 scale. These latest additions complement the existing packs, allowing modellers to mix and match to create longer, more authentic rakes of slate wagons for their layouts.

Each set includes two unbraked wagons and one braked wagon, with the outer vehicles fitted with OO-9 couplers in NEM-style coupler boxes for reliable operation. For added realism, the wagons are interconnected using a discrete coupling system, replicating the prototype’s design. Each wagon also features a removable slate load, giving flexibility for display and operation.

Perfect for enthusiasts looking to expand their narrow-gauge OO-9 layouts, these sets capture the charm and authenticity of the Ffestiniog Railway slate traffic.

Peco O-16.5 New Item

Peco are delighted to reintroduce a previously unavailable kit, now with thoughtful updates for modern modellers. This 4-wheel coach kit is based on the historic Glyn Valley Tramway design, featuring two doors on each side and detailed dockets.

Previously offered as pre-painted and lined models (OR31 and OR32), these versions have now been discontinued and replaced by this new unpainted kit, giving hobbyists the freedom to finish the model to their own specification. The updated kit also includes NEM coupler pockets, adding greater versatility and compatibility for model railway layouts.

This coach kit complements the wider range of PECO rolling stock, which includes a mix of plastic and laser-cut wooden kits. With new ready-to-run locomotives entering the market, interest in this scale continues to grow, making it the perfect time to expand your collection.
