Caledonian Single Locomotives
Rapido Trains UK is proud to announce that they will be producing their second OO Gauge Scottish celebrity locomotive, the spectacular Caledonian Single No.123. OO Scale Caledonian Railway Single No.123 4-2-2. The locomotive is one of the most distinguished locomotives ever to run on Britain's rails. She began her public life as an exhibition piece, was one of the headline acts of the famous Race to the North, and then became the pride of the fleet, working Directors specials and Royal trains. In the days of Nationalisation, she wowed crowds of people as a railtour celebrity, travelling the entire country before finally returning to museum life and retiring gracefully in preservation as a national treasure.
Evolution Coaches
Rapido Trains UK are adding a second batch of liveries to their immensely popular OO Gauge 48’ ‘Evolution’ Bogie Coach range. Expanding the range even further, they are covering more of Britain's companies and have chosen a nice selection of additional liveries from across the entire length of the British Isles, including several Scottish examples. Much like the coaches from Batch 1, Evolution Batch 2 models are a selection of generic 48’ bogie coaches, each detailed with an array of key features that modellers associate with their pre-grouping railway of choice.
4 Plank Open Wagons
Rapido Trains UK are expanding their North Western freight range with not one but two new LNWR open wagon diagrams! Rapido Trains UK is proud to announce they will be heading back to the north-west to expand their range of LNWR models with the brand-new OO Gauge LNWR D84 4-Plank Open Goods and D90 Loco Coal Wagons.
