At the 86th 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018, the Porsche 911 RSR #86, based on the Porsche 997/991 GT race platform, was campaigned in the LMGTE Am class by Gulf Racing. Sporting distinctive Gulf colours, the car was driven by Mike Wainwright, Ben Barker and Alex Davison. Despite early setbacks, the #86 fought through the endurance classic to finish 10th in class, completing a tough race at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Today this car is a popular subject for collectors and model enthusiasts thanks to its striking livery and endurance racing heritage at Le Mans.
