Create a beautifully authentic early 20th-century rural railway scene with this highly versatile O scale modular platform kit, inspired by the simple wooden halts introduced during the post-grouping era of the 1920s and 1930s. During this period, railway companies such as the Great Western Railway sought to increase passenger revenue by introducing low-cost rural halts to serve small communities and encourage local traffic.

These halts were typically constructed from timber, often utilising reclaimed wooden sleepers for the platform surface. This kit faithfully replicates these distinctive features, capturing fine wood grain detail, realistic underframe support structures, and period-appropriate accessories such as gas lamps, running-in boards, and fencing to complete an atmospheric countryside setting.

Designed as a highly adaptable modular system, the platform consists of 10 individual sections which connect together to form the full length. Additional ramp sections are included, and the design allows modellers to easily shorten or extend the platform by combining multiple kits. The flexible construction also makes it possible to introduce a gentle curve, offering even greater layout realism as described in the included instructions.
