This detailed model represents a former standard G02 wagon that has been repurposed for departmental use, a common practice on European railways where older freight stock was retained for maintenance and service duties.

The prototype reflects the practical, utilitarian appearance of PKP maintenance wagons used throughout the 1970s and 1980s. PIKO has faithfully recreated this character in HO scale with finely applied surface detailing, crisp Era IV markings, and realistic proportions.
