Add classic East German freight variety to your layout with this PIKO 2026 novelty 2-piece covered goods wagon set Kmm, representing Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) Era IV stock in the configuration without brakeman’s platform. This set captures the typical bulk and industrial freight wagons widely used across the GDR during the 1970s and 1980s.

The prototype Kmm wagons were an important part of DR freight operations, designed for the transport of bulk goods such as coal, lime, ore, and other loose materials. Their distinctive hinged lid construction allowed for efficient loading from above while protecting cargo from weather exposure during transport.

PIKO has faithfully reproduced these wagons in HO scale with fine truss detailing, crisp DR Era IV lettering, and accurate body proportions, delivering a highly realistic representation of everyday East German freight stock.
