Add authentic Austrian bulk freight operations to your layout with this PIKO 2026 novelty 2-piece self-unloading wagon set WTK, representing Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB) freight wagons in Era IV. This set captures the rugged and highly functional wagons used across Austria during the 1970s and 1980s for efficient bulk material handling.

The prototype WTK self-unloading wagons were widely used for transporting coal, ore, gravel, and other bulk commodities, featuring hopper-style discharge systems that allowed for rapid unloading in industrial terminals and freight yards. Their practical design made them a key part of heavy freight logistics throughout the ÖBB network.

PIKO has faithfully recreated these wagons in HO scale with finely detailed bodies, crisp Era IV ÖBB lettering, and accurate construction features, including separately applied components and realistic proportions. The set includes two wagons with different running numbers, enhancing operational realism in longer freight consists.

Built for dependable layout use, both wagons offer excellent running characteristics with smooth-rolling wheelsets for reliable performance across all track systems. A NEM coupling pocket with close coupling mechanism ensures easy integration into existing HO scale rolling stock.
