Details

During the 1950s, the PKP rapidly expanded electrification on its main lines and acquired a large number of electric locomotives to meet growing demands. The EU07 series, developed in the early 1960s as an evolution of the licence-built EU06 and based on English designs, became one of the most widely produced families of four-axle electric locomotives in Poland. Known for their versatility and reliability, these locomotives have played a key role in Polish rail transport for decades.
