With the "glass train", PIKO is putting another piece of railway nostalgia on the tracks. The glass car body allows insights into the interior, including figures that have already been inserted at the factory. A factory-installed interior lighting illuminates the passengers. The driver's desk is also illuminated. The light changes with the direction of travel, changing red / white. For operation in Austria, an SBS 65 single-arm pantograph was attached to the original in 1976.

The Era IV model also depicts this special feature. The rest of the roof equipment is consistently reproduced with various roof lines and insulators. A powerful Bühler motor gives the “transparent” from PIKO sufficient traction. Two additional rail grinders are attached for optimal power supply. The digital version is factory-equipped with a decoder and sound. A special feature is the digitally controllable pantograph. All these functions can be retrofitted for the analogue variant.
