The TIE/sk x1 TIE Striker was developed by the Galactic Empire as a dedicated atmospheric superiority fighter. Unlike the standard TIE Fighter, the Striker featured elongated, pivoting wings that generated additional lift, allowing it to achieve exceptional manoeuvrability and speeds of up to 1,500 km/h within planetary atmospheres.
