History:

The Leopard 2A4 is a main-battle tank developed in Germany, entering service in 1985. It is armed with a 120 mm smooth-bore Rheinmetall cannon (with 42 rounds) as its main weapon, plus two 7.62 mm machine guns for secondary armament.

Its propulsion comes from a 1,500 horsepower MTU MB 873 Ka-501 diesel engine, granting road speeds up to ~68–72 km/h and good tactical mobility. Protection is delivered via composite armour on hull and turret, balancing survivability with mobility — making the 2A4 one of the most-exported and widely-used tanks globally. Its four-man crew (commander, gunner, loader, driver) and balanced design helped it become a mainstay of many European and allied armies since introduction.
