British Fairey Gannet AS.1/AS.4 Model Set (1:72 Scale)

The Fairey Gannet AS.1 and AS.4 were British carrier-borne anti-submarine warfare aircraft developed by Fairey Aviation for the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. Introduced in the early 1950s, the Gannet featured a distinctive double turboprop engine (Armstrong Siddeley Double Mamba) driving contra-rotating propellers. The AS.1 was the initial production model, while the AS.4 incorporated improvements including a redesigned cockpit and upgraded radar. The Gannet's large internal weapons bay and radar made it effective in its maritime patrol role. It was later adapted for roles like electronic countermeasures and airborne early warning.
