History:

Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 is a highly agile, modern multi-role combat aircraft operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF).

It combines air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities: for air combat, it carries missiles like ASRAAM and Meteor missile, plus a 27 mm Mauser cannon; for strike missions it can deploy laser- or GPS-guided bombs such as Paveway IV bomb, plus weapons like Brimstone missile and Storm Shadow missile.

Powered by twin Eurojet EJ200 afterburning turbofans, the FGR.4 reaches speeds above Mach 2 and demonstrates strong manoeuvrability thanks to its delta-wing and canard design, fly-by-wire controls, and lightweight construction. Since entering RAF service in 2003, Typhoon FGR.4 — evolved from earlier air-defence versions — has become the backbone of UK’s combat air fleet.
