Details

To celebrate the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB) unveiled a specially decorated ÖBB Class 1116 Taurus, numbered 1116 203. The locomotive was ceremonially named in Vienna on 18 February, ahead of the city hosting the contest in May, and quickly entered regular service hauling Railjet trains.

Carrying a striking promotional livery, the locomotive acts as a travelling ambassador for the event, operating not only across Austria but also on international routes into Germany, Hungary and Switzerland.

This detailed model captures the distinctive Eurovision design and features finely reproduced roof equipment, pantographs and authentic markings. Equipped with an NEM coupling pocket and supplied with a coupling adapter for Railjet stock with factory-fitted electrical couplings, it makes an eye-catching addition to any modern European model railway layout.
