The ÖBB 2095 class is a distinctive narrow-gauge diesel locomotive widely associated with Austrian secondary and mountain railways, making it an appealing prototype for model railway layouts featuring European branch lines or tourist routes. Built between 1958 and 1962 by Simmering-Graz-Pauker, a total of 15 locomotives were produced for the 760 mm gauge network operated by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). These locomotives were introduced to replace steam traction on many narrow-gauge lines, significantly modernising operations.

Designed as robust and versatile machines, the Class 2095 locomotives were capable of handling both passenger and freight duties across a wide range of Austrian narrow-gauge railways.
