In 2011, over a year after the milestone, Deutsche Bahn celebrated the Autozug anniversary with locomotive 115 509-2, adorned in a striking special livery. The locomotive featured an anthracite metallic primer complemented by a bright red 1930s-style racing car painted along its side, creating a visually captivating design.
