Details

The Trix 24440 Rollende Landstraße (RoLa) freight wagon represents a modern Saadkms low-floor intermodal transport wagon used by RAlpin AG (Switzerland) for combined transport services across Europe. Designed for Era VI operations (from 2018 onwards), this highly detailed H0 scale model replicates the specialist wagons used to carry semi-trailers on rail as part of the “rolling highway” system.

The model features a finely engineered metal-bodied construction with a realistic low-floor design and intermediate wagon configuration without buffer beams. It is designed to be used as part of a multi-wagon RoLa consist, faithfully reproducing the operational layout of real RAlpin trains.

Each wagon includes prototypical detailing such as chock blocks for securing truck loads and special coupling systems for connecting intermediate and end wagons. The finely modelled underframe and accurate Swiss freight livery complete the authentic modern intermodal appearance.

With a length of approximately 214 mm over buffers, the Trix 24440 is perfectly suited for realistic Rollende Landstraße formations on contemporary European model railway layouts.
