Based on the first-generation Mercedes-Benz Actros introduced in 1996, this highly detailed functional model features the distinctive M cab and a large 32.5 m³ box body, making it ideal for logistics depots, distribution centres, industrial estates, freight terminals, and modern railway layouts. The enclosed body design makes it perfect for representing parcel delivery, general haulage, and commercial transport operations.

Part of the advanced CarMotion range, this model combines realistic driving characteristics with intelligent infrared control technology. The innovative underfloor drive system leaves the cargo body unobstructed while delivering smooth operation and highly realistic vehicle movement. Featuring configurable speeds, realistic acceleration and braking behaviour, and a comprehensive lighting package, the Actros brings authentic road traffic to any HO scale scene.

The model is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery providing approximately 4–6 hours of operation during normal use and up to 2 hours at maximum speed. Additional functions include cab lighting, dipped and main beam headlights, brake lights, reversing lights, indicators and hazard warning lights. A visible driver figure enhances realism, while the 5-pole plug-in coupling allows connection to compatible CarMotion trailers and semi-trailers. The vehicle can be operated using infrared control, magnetic tape guidance, contact wire systems, permanent magnets and electromagnetic stop coils. Convenient magnetic reed-switch operation allows easy on/off control, and short-distance reversing is possible without mechanical guidance.
