Bring your HO scale CarMotion vehicles to life with the Viessmann 8452 Sound Retrofit Kit, specially designed for black Magirus square bonnet vehicles. This vehicle-specific sound module adds realistic engine and operating sounds, creating a more immersive road traffic experience on model railway layouts. Perfect for freight, utility, emergency service, and industrial vehicles, the module is mechanically, visually, and acoustically matched to compatible Magirus models.

The retrofit kit reproduces authentic engine start-up and shutdown sounds, gear changes, brake squeal, and vehicle-specific warning tones where applicable. Additional functions such as the horn and siren (on suitable vehicles) can be activated, while sound volume can be adjusted to suit your layout environment. Commands can be triggered via remote control, DCC operation, infrared commands, or magnetic sequences within the CarMotion system.

The sound module is fitted by connecting the circuit board to the vehicle's existing 4-pin expansion socket and replacing selected side-mounted components with new speaker-equipped parts. The module delivers 250 mW output with an efficiency of 81 dBA and a frequency range of approximately 800 Hz to 10 kHz for clear and realistic sound reproduction. Compatible vehicles include items 8013, 8021, 8051, 8054, 8055, 8071, 8130, 8132, and 8133. Vehicles without the required 4-pin expansion socket cannot be equipped with this sound module.
