Bring your HO scale model railway vehicles to life with the Viessmann 8456 CarMotion Sound Retrofit Kit, specially developed for selected Mercedes-Benz Actros CarMotion models in grey. This vehicle-specific sound module adds authentic engine and operational sounds, creating a far more immersive driving experience on modern HO scale layouts. Ideal for logistics fleets, distribution centres, freight terminals, construction sites, and industrial scenes, this upgrade enhances both realism and operational enjoyment.

The sound module reproduces realistic diesel engine start-up and shutdown sounds, acceleration and driving noises, gear changes, brake squeal, and vehicle-specific warning signals where applicable. Additional functions such as the horn can be activated, while volume levels can be adjusted to suit your layout environment. Sound functions may be triggered through remote control, DCC commands, infrared commands, or magnetic sequences within the CarMotion system.

The sound module connects directly to the vehicle electronics through a 4-pin expansion socket and is secured in place during installation. Existing side-mounted components, including the exhaust and air reservoir assemblies, are replaced with new components containing the integrated loudspeaker. The module delivers 250 mW output power, 81 dBA efficiency, and a frequency range of approximately 800 Hz to 10 kHz for clear and realistic sound reproduction. Compatible vehicles include Viessmann CarMotion models 8041, 8114, and 8115. Vehicles without the required 4-pin expansion socket cannot be equipped with this sound module.
