EFE

Exclusive First Editions (EFE) Road is a UK-based die-cast model manufacturer established in 1989. The company initially gained recognition for producing 1:76 scale models, aligning with the standard OO gauge for UK model railways. Their inaugural releases featured AEC buses and trucks, reflecting a commitment to authentically representing the diverse history of UK road vehicles. 
 
Over the years, EFE expanded its product line to include a wide array of vehicles, such as buses, coaches, lorries and London Underground tube trains. By the end of 2010, EFE had produced over 2,000 distinct items with approximately 90 new releases each year. The models are designed in the UK and manufactured in China, ensuring a blend of local expertise and cost-effective production. 
 
In October 2016, Gilbow (Holdings) Ltd, the company behind EFE, entered administration. Subsequently, Bachmann Europe plc acquired the EFE range, integrating it into their portfolio of die-cast and ready-made models. This acquisition ensured the continuation of EFE's legacy and allowed for further development under Bachmann's stewardship. 
 
Today, under Bachmann's ownership, EFE continues to offer a diverse selection of die-cast models. The EFE Road category includes various buses and related accessories, catering to collectors and model enthusiasts who appreciate the rich history of UK transportation.
