The Photo Reconnaissance version of the Spitfire has arrived! Returning in 1:48 scale, the Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX is back, but with a fresh set of new schemes, each holding their own unique story.

 

The box artwork depicts a moment in history with the use of PS853, flying with an English Electric Lightning. In 1963, during the Indonesian confrontation, the RAF’s Air Fighting Development Squadron at RAF Binbrook flew mock dogfights using Spitfire PR.XIX PS853 against the latest English Electric Lightnings to work out the best tactics of engagement, should they have to deal with WWII-era Indonesian Air Force P-51 Mustangs.
