Dapol’s upcoming N Gauge releases for April and May bring a strong selection of modern and classic diesel and electric traction for contemporary layout modellers. Arriving first in April is Class 87 No. 87101 ‘Stephenson’ in BR Blue, offered in both standard and DCC-fitted versions, representing one of the iconic AC electrics of the West Coast Main Line.
Following in May is a substantial range of Class 66 locomotives in a wide variety of popular freight liveries and named examples. These include DB Red, EWS Red/Gold, original Freightliner and Freightliner Powerhaul schemes, along with striking GBRf variants such as ‘Nene Valley’, ‘Platinum Jubilee’ in pink, and ‘Evening Star’ in green, plus DRS and Colas Rail Freight examples. Each locomotive is available in standard, DCC-fitted and DCC-sound versions, giving N gauge modellers plenty of choice for recreating modern freight.
