Dapol’s latest N Scale releases for May and June are firmly led by an eye-catching line-up of Class 66 locomotives, bringing one of the UK’s most recognisable modern freight types to layouts in a wide variety of liveries and identities. The range spans DB Red, EWS Red/Gold, Freightliner Original and Powerhaul, GBRf and DRS, alongside standout named examples including 66 706 ‘Nene Valley’, 66 734 ‘Platinum Jubilee’ in its striking pink livery, 66 779 ‘Evening Star’ in green, and 66 428 ‘Carlisle Eden Mind’. Each model is available in standard, DCC-fitted and DCC-sound variants, offering flexibility for all types of layout and control systems.
Complementing the modern traction is the addition of the Class 87 in BR Blue, represented by 87 101 ‘Stephenson’, available in both standard and DCC-fitted forms. This provides a strong contrast to the contemporary Class 66 fleet, giving modellers the opportunity to cover both classic electric operation and present-day freight in N scale.
