LNER ‘U1’ Beyer-Garratt
Due Q3 2025
Timed perfectly to coincide with the centenary of the original locomotive and 200 years of rail travel, Heljan’s OO gauge model of Britain’s largest and most powerful steam locomotive is almost ready for dispatch. Designed to reflect the many changes made to the prototype during its 30-year service life, this high-spec model boasts twin coreless motors for smooth, powerful running, factory-fitted twin speakers, a flickering firebox, authentic lighting functions, and a detachable magnetic cab roof. An easy-access DCC decoder interface with magnetic cover and a high-quality presentation pack further enhance the appeal.
All versions are offered in beautifully applied LNER and BR liveries, with DCC sound models featuring bespoke ESU sound projects tailored to both coal- and oil-fired variants. With demand high since its announcement and several versions — particularly DCC sound — already close to selling out, this limited-run model is proving to be a must-have.

BR Class 02 0-4-0 Diesel Shunter

The Yorkshire Engine Co. Class 02 diesel shunters are now in stock and ready to impress. These compact workhorses feature a smooth-running motor with flywheel, factory-fitted speaker, Next18 DCC decoder interface, and exceptional detailing throughout. Lighting functions include separately switchable shunting and cab lights in DCC mode, while DC users can activate the cab lights using the included magnetic wand. Detachable NEM couplers add to the model’s versatility on your layout.
Offered in a vibrant mix of BR, industrial, and preserved liveries as part of Batch 1, these models cater to a wide range of modelling eras and tastes. BR Class 44 'Peak' Locomotives

Great news for fans of classic diesels — Heljan’s all-new OO gauge Class 44 ‘Peak’ is back on track and progressing well. Following delays due to tooling transfers, the first engineering sample is now in hand and already showing great promise in both looks and performance. Two additional liveries have just been added to Batch 1: 44002 Helvellyn in BR Blue and D4/44004 Great Gable in retro BR Green with full yellow ends. BR Class 104 DMU

Heljan’s Class 104 DMUs are among the most technically impressive models ever produced in British OO scale.
