New Items and a New Look for Kestrel Designs in 2025

New Items and a New Look for Kestrel Designs in 2025

Kestrel Designs has gained a new look for 2025 and new items are now available too!

For those unaware of the brand, the much-loved Kestrel Designs company was bought by Gaugemaster in 2009 from founders David and Elaine Lidgate. The collection of N-Scale plastic kits comprises the standard and the super detail ranges, with the majority of kits manufactured in the United Kingdom. This allows for maximum flexibility in production, as well as the opportunity to continue offering these products at great value prices.

A preview of what's to come: mock-ups of the new style packaging for boxed products.

Kestrel Designs has gone from strength to strength following its acquisition, evolving far beyond its original roots. The addition of the Super Detail range, alongside a selection of painted figures and high-quality 3D-printed accessories, has transformed the collection from a simple line of plastic kits into a comprehensive offering of kits, accessories, and scenic detailing products for the N Scale market.

With these recent developments, we felt it was the perfect time for Kestrel to take centre stage. Much like Train-Tech sits as a standalone brand under the Gaugemaster umbrella, Kestrel is now spreading its wings to do the same. The range now features a striking new black and yellow livery, with the yellow proudly nodding to Kestrel’s heritage, marking an exciting new chapter for this growing brand, and we have the first new products in stock now!

The first releases in the new packaging have already reached retailers.
