Main Lines: 26th July 2025
Welcome to this week's Main Lines.
This week in real railway news, Cullompton and Wellington are set to reopen their railway stations for the first time since the 1960s, backed by £45 million in government funding. In Devon, Okehampton’s upgraded station is nearing completion, enhancing links on the Dartmoor Line. Elsewhere, severe flooding has disrupted services in Scotland, and the Birmingham–Lichfield line will be closed from 28 July to 3 August for essential engineering works, so hopefully some train spotting opportunities for locals and those passing through.
In model news, we have had a quieter week, but not to worry! It has given us the chance to catch up and bring you some news from our own ranges, including an exciting rebrand for one of our ranges!
In This Issue:
Gaugemaster Family News

Spotlight On: Gaugemaster Structures with LED Lighting
The OO Scale Gaugemaster Structures range includes a selection of kits that now include LED Lighting. Included with each kit is a Train-Tech lighting unit suitable for both Analogue and Digital control, giving you the opportunity to light your buildings and bring another area of realism to your model railways.

New DCC-fitted variants are now available to order.
We are pleased to announce that our range of Class 56 locomotives is expanding with new DCC-fitted variants. The Class 56 is a British diesel-electric locomotive built between 1976 and 1984 for heavy freight work.
