Main Lines: 15th November 2025
Welcome to this week's Main Lines.
In Railway news, Network Rail set up Platform4, a new property-development arm combining L&CR (London & Continental Railways) and its Property Development business. The aim is to use brown-field rail land to drive regeneration — planning up to 40,000 new homes and 10 million sq ft of commercial space over the next ten years.
This marks a strategic shift in how rail land is being leveraged beyond just transport.
In Model Railway news announcements from Bachmann, Graham Farish, EFE Rail, Rapido, Dapol and Peco sweep across the modelling world with lots of exciting new items form N gauge right up to O gauge.

Herpa New Items: November 2025
November sees over 100 new items announced in the Herpa Vehicle range, including some beautifully detailed lorries, a few new cars, and lots of new minikits.
Wiking November New Items
November sees the announcement of some interesting cars (including a Cooper T45), a nice selection of commercial vehicles and a new Fire Engine. Watch out Santas about in his brand new Porsche as well.
