We have worked closely with Piko to produce this starter set unique to the Gaugemaster Collection. Pairing their already popular release of a British Railways-themed locomotive with a circle of track and the renowned Piko G Scale Controller, this set offers the unique opportunity for anyone looking at getting into G Scale Model Railways this summer.
This starter set includes a Newly designed British Railways livery 4 wheel shunter featuring the "Lion and Wheel" emblum and electrical pick ups on the wheels and metal shoes. The coupling on the front is compatible with most leading G Gauge manufacturers and the head and tail light operates with the direction of travel (white when going forwards, white when reversing)
The track in this set forms a 1.2m diameter circle and can easily be extended by using either the Piko or LGB track systems. Being made of Brass, the rails can be laid outside and left out all year, with a slight clean needed every now and again.
Piko produce some nice expansion track sets which suit this set nicely.
Although this set does not include any rolling stock, Piko, LGB and many other manufacturers produce Coaches and Wagons as suitable additions.
Perfect for railway enthusiasts of all ages, this G Gauge starter set provides an excellent introduction to large-scale railway modelling while offering the flexibility to expand into a larger garden railway in the future.
