New LMS 'Turbomotive' is Coming Soon

Coming soon from Hornby is the remarkable LMS Princess Royal Class ‘Turbomotive’ No. 6202. As the third prototype of the class, this striking locomotive is presented in LMS Crimson Lake livery, reflecting its post-1936 modified condition.

Bringing a piece of railway history to life, this model captures the unique experimental turbine design alongside a wealth of authentic features, including working headlamps, a movable oil cooler radiator flap, opening cab roof vent, sprung metal buffers, and a finely detailed cab. With a heavy diecast body and a powerful 5-pole skew-wound motor, it’s available in two options: DCC-ready with a 21-pin socket, or sound-fitted with an HM7000 decoder and pre-installed sugar-cube speaker for rich, realistic effects.
