Roco have announced revisions to three of their popular turnouts, introducing an updated frog design intended to improve reliability and running performance across a wider range of rolling stock. The updated design features a redesigned frog and revised wheel guides, helping to provide smoother operation through the pointwork while reducing the likelihood of derailments or hesitation at low speeds.
In addition to the mechanical revisions, the updated turnouts now include pre-installed frog polarisation, simplifying installation for modellers seeking improved electrical continuity through the turnout. This enhancement is particularly beneficial for smaller locomotives and slow-speed shunting operations, where uninterrupted power pickup is essential for dependable performance.
