Wallace and Gromit: Family Favourites At Christmas
62 West Wallaby Street is the home of Wallace and his beloved companion Gromit, a man and his dog that have been delighting audiences since 1989. Since then, they have become two of Britain’s most beloved animated characters, created by Nick Park and brought to life by Aardman Animations through their distinctive stop-motion clay style.
Relive The Original Chase
In their latest adventure, "Vengeance Most Fowl", they see the return of the villain Feathers McGraw, who they previously caught attempting to steal The Blue Diamond in "The Wrong Trousers". The Wrong Trousers featured a now-famous animated chase scene that included Wallace, Gromit and Feathers riding on a model train through their house, running on an infinitely full box of track. This scene has gone down in history as one of the best animated chases, and Corgi have faithfully reproduced the scene for collectors and fans of the franchise to enjoy.
Every Inventor Needs A Van!
Alongside the famous chase, Corgi have also replicated three of the vans Wallace has owned through the years, each adorned with the livery of his wacky new business.
Friends Old and New
Throughout the years, Wallace and Gromit have met and made many friends, but none captured the nation's hearts like Shawn the Sheep. First seen in a Close Shave in 1995, Shawn made his TV comeback in 2007, starring in his own self-titled spin-off series. This series captured the hearts of a new generation and has spawned seven series so far, with two films and a third in the works, and has itself spawned another spin-off; Timmy Time.
