Classic Le Mans endurance racing is heading back to the slot car world with the upcoming release of the iconic 1966 Matra BRM 620 team cars, recreating the very beginning of Matra’s legendary journey at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Sixty years on from their debut at the Circuit de la Sarthe, these beautifully detailed handcrafted resin models celebrate the French manufacturer’s first steps into endurance racing, a story that would eventually lead to three consecutive Le Mans victories in the early 1970s.
This new collection recreates all three Matra 620 BRM entries from the 1966 race, including the No.41 driven by Jean-Pierre Beltoise, the No.42 of Jo Schlesser and the No.43 piloted by Henri Pescarolo. Produced as highly detailed 1:32 scale handcrafted resin slot car models, these forthcoming releases are expected to prove especially popular with collectors of historic Le Mans machinery and fans of classic endurance racing alike. These models are due in stock in the next few weeks.
