Welcome to this week's Main Lines.

 

This weeks railway news saw a Major fleet update for Eurostar, after signing a multi-billion-euro deal with Alstom for a new fleet of double-deck high-speed trains, dubbed “Celestia”. These will be the first major double-decked passenger trains operating through the Channel Tunnel into the UK, offering around 20% more capacity and aiming to enter service from 2031.

 

In modelling News, Heljan reveal their latest Class 37 models, Dapol release a new 20t Brakevan, New Iems announced from Kato USA (including three rather nice starter sets), Peco announce some more N Gauge Laser Cut Kits and Herpa share their latest release information.
