Trix Announcements: January 2026
Spanning steam, electric and diesel traction, this year’s latest releases promise outstanding authenticity and fine detail, whatever your chosen era, beginning with a true visual showstopper in the Czech Class 477.0 steam locomotive. Nicknamed the “Papagei” thanks to its bold, colourful livery, this striking engine, familiar to many visitors at Augsburg Railway Park, has now been fully developed as a highly detailed model that is set to become the centrepiece of any layout. Turning to early electric innovation, the focus then shifts to Munich with the pioneering class elT railcar No. 1126 and matching elS control car No. 2126, once a cutting-edge sight on the electrified Ismaning to München Ost Pbf branch line from 1927. Featuring extensive digital functions and a buffer capacitor, this impressive model faithfully captures the long service life and technical significance of these early forerunners of today’s suburban S-Bahn trains, bringing an important chapter of railway history vividly to life.
