Gaugemaster has developed two systems under the Infinity umbrella to control your layout. Infinity Analogue is a wireless system that controls analogue layouts and accessories. Infinity Digital is a DCC wireless controller designed for full digital locomotive and accessory control. While the handsets look similar, each system is tailored to its specific control method.
No. Both systems are designed around dedicated wireless handsets, providing a more tactile and reliable control experience without the need for smartphones or tablets.
Infinity handsets use 2 x AA (R6 / UM-3) batteries, which are included with the system.
Yes, but the system is not waterproof. The base unit should remain indoors, and the handset should only be used outside in dry conditions.
The Bluetooth connection is rated up to 50 metres. With a clear line of sight, this range can sometimes be extended further.
Yes, the system can be updated using the latest software available on the Infinity Software & Updates page .
Infinity Analogue can control up to ten independent track sections using expansion modules. Starting with a base system such as Infinity Solo or Infinity Duo , additional sections can be added as your layout grows.

Yes, Infinity Analogue can control accessories using dedicated interface modules. These include lighting, points and signalling via products such as the Infinity Lights Interface , Infinity Points Interface and Infinity Signals Interface .
No, Infinity Analogue is designed for traditional analogue layouts. It provides modern wireless control without requiring a full DCC system, making it ideal for modellers who prefer analogue operation.
Yes, additional handsets can be added to control multiple sections or allow multiple operators to run the layout at the same time, depending on your system configuration.
To start with, Gaugemaster Infinity Digital is wireless as standard; this feature is not an added extra. It is capable of doing everything you would expect, plus additional features you will love. Unlike other systems, ours can control up to 68 locomotive functions, and we have added a unique Multiple Working Consist, which makes double-heading trains easier to set up and operate.

Infinity Digital has a 3.5 amp power supply, which is suitable for most N, TT, HO and OO layouts. For those needing more power, the Infinity Digital Plus offers a higher-powered option, while Infinity Digital G is designed for G Scale layouts.
This unit can manage up to 68 functions on your locomotives. Currently, some locomotives have up to 32 functions, but the system has been future-proofed for when manufacturers exceed that.
Yes, all functions can be set to momentary or latching if required.
Yes, you can plug other digital systems, such as the Gaugemaster Prodigy DCC system , into the unit's sniffer port, but please refer to the Infinity Instructions & Manuals on how to safely do this.
Yes, all NMRA-compliant locomotive and accessory decoders will work with Gaugemaster Infinity Digital.
Yes, you can transfer your saved locomotives over to another controller.
Unfortunately not. The system is designed to be handset-operated for ease of control, as there are other systems in the range that offer this feature.
Yes, the Infinity Digital system can be expanded with Gaugemaster Infinity expansion units. Each Expansion Unit has two Bluetooth connections for additional handset connectivity and also allows you to add another power district to your layout.
Current options include the Infinity Digital Expansion Unit , Infinity Digital Plus Expansion Unit , Infinity Digital G Expansion Unit and the Infinity Digital Wireless Handset Receiver Unit . Additional operators can also be added with the Infinity Digital Remote Handset .
